Our Family Furnishings program provides choice and dignity to our clients. Clients are referred to The Green Chair by a case manager from one of our over 90 partner agencies, and receive a full household of furnishing and essential items for a small buy-in fee.

While in-person activities have been temporarily suspended to protect the health of Green Chair’s clients, staff, and volunteers, we continue to serve. The Green Chair created a virtual online platform that allows referring case managers and clients to complete the furniture selection process online; preserving the dignity of choice.   Families referred by our partner agencies across Wake County have secured stable housing but lack the resources to purchase essential furniture such as tables, chairs, and kitchen items. After selections are made online, our team assembles the selected items and delivers directly to the family’s home.
