For Our Agencies

Since 2010, The Green Chair Project has shown up for its Wake County neighbors in need by supplying life-altering home essentials, sustaining stable environments, and supporting long-term self-sufficiency for families & individuals transitioning into new housing following crises.

We believe everyone deserves to live in a safe, secure, and well-supplied home. If you feel the same, we invite you to pull up a chair & help us get there.

Virtual Showroom

Breathe New Life Into Your Second-Hand Essentials

What is Virtual Showroom?

During COVID-19, Green Chair transitioned its furnishings program process to be online, curating a virtual showroom accessible to clients & case managers. This transition allowed the nonprofit furniture supplier to prioritize health & safety in a global pandemic while eliminating previous barriers like transportation, time off or coordinating childcare from inhibiting access to aid.

With customizable furnishing packages to select from, including a range of ADA-compliant pieces, our showroom empowers our client’s selection. The variety of inventory & ease of virtual access reinforces client autonomy.

Ultimately empowering families with the normalcy and dignity of a shopping experience selecting essentials and decor that speak to them.
