We’re thrilled to unveil 20 one-of-a-kind chairs reimagined by 20 incredible North Carolina designers — and we want YOU to help us choose the fan favorites!

Here’s how it works:

Voting runs from May 8–18 and you can vote as many times as you’d like!

The top 10 chairs will be auctioned live at our Share the Chair event on May 21st at the Angus Barn Pavilion. The remaining 10 will be featured in our silent auction that evening.

What is Share the Chair? The spring Share the Chair event is a dinner, auction, and celebration marking 15 years of impactful service by The Green Chair Project, a non-profit that provides the essentials of home to individuals and families overcoming homelessness, crisis, and disaster.

Central to the event is the creative contribution of selected designers, who will reimagine chairs to be auctioned or sold at Share the Chair, taking place at The Pavilion at The Angus Barn on May 21, 2025. Designers across North Carolina make up the 2025 Share The Chair Designer Class, an opportunity to showcase their talent while contributing to a meaningful cause.

This celebration highlights the power of design to transform spaces and lives, emphasizing the importance of community, creativity, and compassion. We look forward to celebrating with longtime supporters of The Green Chair Project, past and current board members, key corporate donors and sponsors, and interior designers & industry leaders.

Details and Timeline:

Designers across North Caroline will be selected to participate in the Share The Chair event, which will be held on May 21, 2025 at the Pavillon at the Angus Barn.

All re-imagined chairs will be featured on the Share The Chair website for public voting. Each $5 donation counts as a vote. Designers will receive the link to share with their network. The top 10 chairs with the most votes will be auctioned at the event, while the remaining chairs will be available as “buy it now” items.

Presenting: $25,000

  • Reserved Seating for up to 20 guests (two tables for 10)
