Green Chair Project Partners with Life Plan Group on Sweeter Dreams

At our third annual Life Plan Group Summit in January, we announced our charitable partnership for 2023 with The Green Chair Project.
For every introduction you make to Life Plan that goes through our process, regardless of whether they become a client, we will donate the cost of two beds or cribs to children without one in Wake County through The Green Chair Project’s Sweeter Dreams Bed Program. Each bed or crib comes complete with a new mattress, bed or crib frame, pillow, linens, and bedding. Currently, there are over 6,000 children in Wake County that are sleeping on the floor, furniture or with another family member.
Over the course of 2023, we will make additional donations via our ambassadors program when you facilitate an introduction on our behalf. We hope that through generous introductions from you, we will be able to support The Green Chair Project’s Sweeter Dreams Bed program substantially.
While we are thrilled to support The Green Chair Project with donations, it’s important to us that the partnership goes beyond financials. We will be scheduling quarterly Give & Grows at their amazing location in Raleigh, gearing our annual mileage challenge to support The Green Chair Project, hosting a “healthy home” donation drive at our office, and participating in some of their fundraising efforts (think antique furniture auction!). In addition to supporting The Green Chair Project’s amazing work, when you introduce us to someone, you will become an ambassador and will be invited to enjoy our annual ambassadors event in December 2023. This premier gathering is a “thank you” for sharing our firm with others.

The Green Chair Project reuses essential furnishings donated by our community to help neighbors in need facing the challenges of homelessness, crisis or disaster. Lives change when families and individuals are nurtured and sustained in well-equipped homes.

Since 2010, The Green Chair Project has served 6,083 children with beds, distributed 148,986 furniture donations, and given 103, 134 volunteer hours.

How important is it to sleep in a bed?
Every child deserves a good night’s sleep to help them learn, grow and thrive. We know that a good night’s sleep translates into improved learning, behavior, heart health, attention span, weight and immune system function. In addition, it results in improved attendance and performance in school. The Green Chair Project is on a mission to provide a bed for EVERY child in need.
